Working places:

Presently: Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, since 1989;

Part time job at: Department of Information Theory and Computer Science, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, since 1995; I was teaching there on contracts since the fall of 1991;

1986-1989: Doctoral student at the Mathematical Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences;

Academic year 1992-93: Postdoctoral fellow at DIMACS Center, New Jersey, USA.

Degrees:

DSc., Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 2009;

Ph.D. in mathematics from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 1991;

Diploma in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, 1986.

Alfréd Rényi Prize of the Mathematical Institute of HAS, 1995;

Academy Prize for Junior Researchers of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 1995;

Géza Grünwald Prize of the János Bolyai Mathematical Society, 1990

I have been visiting for shorter periods (one or two months) the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa in Israel, the University of Bielefeld in Germany, the CNR IASI and the Universitá La Sapienza in Rome, Italy, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada.

Research interest:

My research interest includes graph theory, information theory, extremal combinatorics, and in particular, the behaviour of information theoretic functionals on graphs.
