Algorithmic programming competition for teams

ICPC Hungary 2025

We're excited to invite you to ICPC Hungary 2025, the first round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest, the world's oldest, largest and most prestigious algorithmic programming competition.

In this contest, teams of three compete to solve challenging exercises in C++, Java, or Python, racing the time and the other teams. It's a chance to test your problem-solving skills, think creatively and work under pressure. It is beneficial for each team to have at least one member who is familiar with basic graph algorithms and data structures, and someone who has good programming skills.

The best two eligible teams from BME will represent our university in the regional round in Wrocław, Poland later this year.

Eligibility

  • Your team must be registered.
  • Your team must have exactly 3 members.
  • All members must be currently enrolled at BME.
  • For all members at least one of the following is true:
    • Started post-secondary studies in 2021 or later.
    • Was born in 2002 or later.

Coordinates

  • Time: 11 October 2025
    • Instructions, practice round: 9:00(?) - 10:00
      • Attendance at the practice round is strongly advised: the local setup is non-trivial.
    • Main contest: 10:00 - 15:00
      • Contestants arriving late to the main contest are disqualified.
